Very nice boat! Is that a light lens on the bottom of the fin? In the second picture it looks like a piece of glass.

..Doug's pic file extensions say CAR AQUA, as well as the rear
file logo's.. Surprise there is no Library ijnfo for this mfg..

It's a Car Aqua F-44. I drove about 100 miles and picked it up for a friend out on the east coast. It's rough as usual, but pretty much complete. The taillights in the rear are functioning lights.

Thanks Doug, I couldn't make out the name on the fin.That boat will be a head turner for sure when it's done. Reminds me of a amphibious car.

Most excellent Doug. Best Car Aqua yet is Tommy in Tampa's VIP. Man I wish he still hung out here. Consumate collecter/restorer.

Here are some pics of a pristine Car Aqua restoration done by Del VanEmmrik a number of years ago.
He has shown the boat numerous times over the years and won a top award at the Lake Geneva ACBS show last September with it.
One pic shows it in the water at the Lake Geneva show last year. The other was taken at the 2008 White Bear Lake show in Minnesota, showing it on it’s extremely rare Michigan Low Loader four wheel trailer.
I was surprised the Car Aqua wasn't listed in the Glassic Poll. There aren't a lot of them around, but they really attract attention.
