I have a question about the floor decking on a 1960 Dorsett Belmont.

The floor deck is glassed to the hull on all sides and seems water tight. I am also assuming there is some open space between the bottom of the deck and the hull for the stringers and such.

If water has got in or gets into this area, how can you tell as there does not seem to be an opening to the bilge. The transom drain plug is at the top of the floor level. It seems possible that water cound get in this area and does not seem to have a way out.

Any advice is appreciated

Construction just like my 1966 Chris-Craft Corsair by Thompson Boat Co. of New York, Inc. Nice fiberglass floor pan and no access to bilge nor a drain plug in bilge.

Thank you for the response. Have do you know if you have had or have water in bildge from cracks, screws holes, etc over the years or do you not worry about this and move on.
