TOPIC: Day at the Lake Part II

Day at the Lake Part II 13 years 2 months ago #36979

Dragged the old Fabuglas Sea Gull to the lake Saturday. 550 pounds of crew and dog, full fuel and the old Starflite 100 pushed it along at 29 mph.

Great pic wavetrain. We need more pics of these old boats actually being used. I'm going to see if my daughter will make some movies of my old boats out on the lake.Give me something to look at during the winter months to keep me "in the glassic mood".

Couple more from today.

With just me and the dog we hit 32 mph with a cruise speed of 25-28. It's only slightly slower when it's loaded. For a plain little old boat I'm pretty happy with it.

Sweet, the boat looks great in its natural habitat.

Thanks everyone, it's been nice to get it in the water instead of in the shop. I finally cheated and took it in, I never could get the timing ironed out.

On the way to this particular lake this morning (Bighorn Lake on the Montana Wyoming border) I saw a Larson All American off the road in the weeds. Tandem axle trailer with flat tires. From a distance it looked pretty good. Dry climate so they don't deteriorate so bad. I need another boat about as much as a horse needs a hot air balloon, but it was one pretty old boat.

great looking family boat! We have one of those little swim platforms my kids call it the dunk tank. I catch them jumping off of it for hours at the beach. C'mon dad lets go do the dunk tank. I love it.
