I would definately be interested in getting a copy of the file. Our steering wheel has the chrome background with blue lettering and a red K. The K seems to be a bit different from your design, but no biggie there!

Thanks for sharing!

Dean,

Probably too late, but if you still have any decals left I would really like one. If not, do you know where they can be purchased?

Thanks, Dan

Hi Dan,

I dont have any more, however... another fellow on the site needs one too... I can get a short run made, I have the artwork. I am on a business trip in Knoxville at the moment, when I get back home I can pull together the files and see what I can do. I will get back to you next week.

Dean, I kind of remember you saying that the shape of the decal wasn't quite right. The one you sent me fit the little indentaton pretty well. I'm happy with it.

OK EVERYONE.... DUE TO POPULAR DEMAND... several folks have contacted me about getting (one or more) decals. I will make another run of them... If you need one or want a spare, let me know so I can get you on a list. They dont cost much, it depends on quantity breaks... It will work out to like 1-3 bucks.

Anyway, leave me a message here or send me a PM

Aaron J. from Australia... i tried to respond to you but i think FG doesnt have your correct email address? It bounced!

Dean

P.S. if anyone needs a center emblem, check with Joe Poole he got me two NOS center emblems, which is the finishing touch if yours looks old/busted.

Shipley... yep they were a little tight of a fit in the indentation. Glad you're happy with it.

Andrew... I tried two places via the web. I have to go search my reciepts, but I believe the best decals came from www.worldwidedigitalprinting.com/ . I created Illustrator files from photos of my beat up decal... and uploaded them.

I dropped the ball. The company that did my decals wasn’t responding... I figured it was the Christmas holiday, so I was planning to wait until after Christmas to get it going. I forgot.

Thanks Dan for the poke!

I went back and now found their website is "off-the-air" so apparently they went out of business.

I have a back-up company who I have worked with (javasigns.com)... and sent them the artwork this week. I will get an ETA soon. The decals are going to cost $2.50 each... and I am not going to mark them up... I am having 25 decals made, so I will have plenty if folks want extra decals for spares.

Sorry guys. :S

UPDATE: The decals have been shipped to me, I should have them next week... i will turn these around promptly.

I have ordered plenty, so if anyone else wants any, please send me a PM or post here... $3 each.

RUMDIET... the wheel comes off easy. Here is a diagram, you remove nut #36 and pull the wheel out. Be careful that the long bolt, it comes out with the wheel and will damage the center emblem if you are not very careful putting it back in. If you need a replacement center emblem, Ferguson-Poole Marine Supply has been able to get them.

Hi Dan,

I expect them to arrive tomorrow... Will get them all mailed out with instructions to either Paypal me the $3 each or send me a check (i'd rather get it by Paypal if folks are setup to do that)... but anyway, dont worry about payment until they arrive. I will post here when they hit USPS.

Re:Ride-Guide Quicksilver decals 9 years 2 months ago #115490

Hi Dean.
I'm new to FiberGlassics but searching through articles help a lot. I'm restoring a 1960 Magnolia and found the right steering wheel (see pictures). Even found the tilt steering bezel. I am missing the center plate for the wheel but I am thinking to make one and reproduce the sticker for the ride guide lettering.
Not sure if you still have any Quicksilver stickers after four years but I would appreciate one if you do.
Thanks Alex

Hi Alex,

Sorry for my late response, I've been away from the site for some time. I think I still have some, but not sure if they will work on that wheel at the top...it's not round like mine is. My decals work for the round wheel like the bottom right little picture. Send me a PM so I find your response in my email.

Hello Dean,
I'm new to Fiberglassics and I realize this is an older post but I just came across it. I have been scouring the net looking for this exact decal. I have a ride- guide steering in my 61 Pacific Mariner "stiletto".

I would love to know where I could get such a decal?

Thank you,

Stephen

I know it has been years… Hope you are well! Do you still have decals or the Illustrator file so I can get a few made?

Thank you,
