Hy there. I am getting ready to pant my boat and i need to remove the reg. stickers. Is there a solvent out there that wood work? some one told me that a heat gun mite not good on fiberglass.

I've used heat, followed by acetone to get the remaining 'gunk' off... There are also decal removers that work well, auto parts stores have them.

I just changed mine out and used a heat gun with no problems. It really doesn't take much heat and I use a cheap plastic putty knife so as not to gouge the finish followed up with acetone as noted by Andgott.

Yep heat gun and acetone. Worked for me on the Larson.

After you have used the acetone then lightly sand the area with some 320 or 400 you will see if you have all the glue residue off.
