TOPIC: Later Dudes

Leaving tomorrow for 3 weeks in the 1000 Islands. No computer, no internet, but boats, wife, dog, etc. Back in touch on July 11.

Lucky you, have fun Im assuming your mean the 1000 islands area up there by new york / st. larry seaway area.. I spent a TON of time on lake Mich growing up on a Trojan F25 express with my family mostly trolling for fish but as I got old enough to run the show I was about the only one to use that boat for the last few years we had it, and fixed about every mechanical thing on it. Man I miss that thing.. 41 now and been dreaming over boats all my life and that whole "great loop" deal seems appealing I have thought of so many ways I would try it from big boats all the way down to floating logs and a 2x4 paddle.. thats how I came to learn of the 1000 isle's area.. man that looks like some fun cruising around..

Yes. The 1000 Islands from about Cape Vincent to Morrisville. The 1000 Islands and the Great Lakes are part of my blood. It's a very long story, but the only part that needs to be told now is I'll be there tomorrow.

Have a great time Brian. I am from Kingston Ontario originally and just seeing the word Thousand Islands make me miss it this time of year bad. For sure one of the most beautiful boating places in the world. Have a beer at Potter beach for me will ya?

Beautiful area up there... I've piloted it a few times on the tankers. We've had to anchor off cape vincent for a few days, and all sorts of vintage boats came out to check us out. I'd love to spend some vacation time up there!
