Greetings Guys,

Woodyboater.com has an article about 2 lyman's that have been foreclosed on in Iowa. Below is the link, bank says they will "dispose" of them Tuesday (today being Monday) if they don't get any interest.

If anyone can save them-that would be cool.

That just makes me sick... I wish I could go save them!!

I grew up in Sandusky, OH and used to ride my bike by the old Lyman factory all the time... The Maritime museum there had a good exhibit on them, too- AND my grandfather used to work at the factory. I've always had a thing for Lymans...

Oh those Lymans are sweet. A couple of years ago my buddy who collects old wood boats(has mostly Cruisers Inc and Thompsons) but he bought I believe a 22 foot Lyman with the cuddy etc.) will post pic if I can find it). It was at Oak Orchard..about 30 miles west of Rochester on Lake Ontario, and wanted me to accompany him taking it down the lake about 20 miles east of Rochester to Sodus Point.

It was a beautiful day with about 1-2 foot rollers on the big blue and this boat with it's newly rebuild 350 chevy cut thru those waves like butter and we had a great cruise that day.

So cool with the wood detail and roomy with the huge side boards...like cruising on a yacht.

Save them all...they will never live again any other way.
