TOPIC: Help with determining value 1970 Buehler Jet 19'

Help with determining value 1970 Buehler Jet 19' 13 years 10 months ago #33587

My neighbor is facing some health issues. He asked me to help him sell his 1970 19 foot Buehler Jet. It has the (I think) 318 225 hp Chrysler. Last time it was registered was in 1995.
They bought new and has almost 300 hours on meter.
This boat looks factory new.
I will need to get some pics but just imagine perfect. No mars or rub on hull, all aluminum is perfect all chrome is bright.
Seats and interior perfect.
Biggest problem I think is that it has not been started since 95
Boat is white with white interior
Located in Northern Illinois
On a dual axle trailer, has cover and top. Titles
So any value estimates?

3500-6000 Depends on the local market and how badly he wants to sell it.Besides here, try posting on screamandfly they have a jet forum.Might want to pull the plugs and throw some marvel mystery oil on the cylinders. Not sure what the procedure is for a jet and where the water pick up is,again screamandfly may have people more in tune with "Ferris"

Darn. My wife liked the boat. My mentality was its old and is a jet/Chrysler powered thingy. I was thinking 500-1000 offer.

Well go ahead and make that offer. It sounded like you were trying to sell it for him.not buy it.I do not know what the maintance is on the jet drive or how easy it is to get parts.Again check into it over on fly and then decide if its for you.Maybe he will sell it for 500-1000, ask him what he was thinking and tell him what you are thinking, maybe it will work out for the two of you. There are only a select few that would be looking for that vintage boat regardless of condition,go for it,post up some pics.
