Just wondering if anyone has attempted plastic surgery of this type? Find a glassic, maybe something a little sexy, but with smallish fins, and give 'em a little perk-up.

could create an interesting new industry...

Seems to me Kelly did that a few years ago, but I'm not positive it was him. Somebody did it.

only implant i would desire would be a 3'console and a pair of spring-air bucket seats.

Some where in the archives is a picture of my Texas Made Impala with 30" high and 72" long fins on it. The fins are 737 wing tips that were replaced on the airframe by the new winglets.
At work so I can`t repost the pics.

Those big fins end up being hard on the back, and you'll always know deep down inside that they're not real. Sorry couldn't resist.

On that note, when I was a kid I was helping a friend that used to mow this old lady's lawn. There was a fiberglass boat in that backyard with huge fins and a 65 horse merc. It had two cockpits and the seats were just molded in fiberglass no pads or anything.. I belive it was light blue. These days I would say it looked a lot like a Glen-L "Swish". I caught wind that it was for sale and somehow I actually managed to drag my dad there to look at it.

The story was that it was for sale and I cant remember the price but it was like 400 or 500 so I had asked the lady if I could come and look at it later (that day) with my dad.. when we got there it was gone from the yard. Her son had come and picked it up and now the story was that it wasnt for sale..

Till this day (at least 30 years later) everytime I drive past that house I look in the backyard, I dont know why its not like its gonna be there. Just a fin story for ya.

It took me a while to find but I finally came across the fin augmentation on the Bat Mobile.

I literally spent a couple of hours looking thru all of the cool boats/cars/and everything else classic.

Very cool site.

My frankenstin project to be completed one of these days.....
A Powercat Hawaiian with the rear deck and fin section from a 1961 Razorback Ski Jet.. I call it "Fintasia". The rear deck area in front of the splashwell will be extended all the way up to the rear of the front seat eliminating any rear seating area.
