......and I don't know why. I wanted an older runabout and this one is in pretty good shape for it's age. I have done some reasearch and know it is missing the original motor and some trim pieces but is 95% complete and I will have it on the water within the month. I would like to find the missing pieces for this unique boat and get it as close to original as possible. I would appreciate any help anyone can give because I really don't have a clue what I have gotten into.

It is missing the original ladder, motor, and the previous owner crafted a piece of wood to take the place of the cap, at the back of the hull on the starboard side, that looks like a taillight. The windshield isn't perfect and the maroon vinyl on top is starting to come loose around the edges, in spots. It was redone by a former owner about 10 years ago and is still very serviceable but none of the upholstery of surface coverings are original. Seems like it should be a ton of fun though just like it sits.

Cool. The dash looks like some of my old Ham Radio Equipment's gauges.

Never thought of that but you're right...another marine tie-in aside from referring to them as Boat Anchors :~)

Nice Scott!! Congratulations on a great find.

Thanks for the posts. Those links are great. I really didn't have any idea what I was getting into. I only knew I didn't want a modern boat and I wanted something that was in pretty good condition. I'm pretty happy with this one and can't wait to play with my new toy.

Hi there,

I have a Royal Scott 15' hull and trailer. I don't have the original motor though. The hull is rotten out and needs major repairs. Is there any interest in restoring this type of boat? Pacificmariner are you still looking for old Scott boats?

Mel.

A few weeks ago I was at a guys place and he had a Flying Scott boat that he wanted to sell. I believe it was about a 1963. It had the different gauges than yours round ones. The boat is in sort of tuff shape but all the trim is on the boat and the ladder is in the front also. Don't know where you live but the boat is in the midwest and I know he does not want much money for it. If you think you are interested email me a This email address is being protected from spambots. Picture is of an all original one that Mike Balfe owns. He knows a lot about these boats. I am sure he would be glad to talk to you if you want.
