I don't really know what they are called, but I am replacing the old grommets where the fuel line, electrical, and steering cables go through on the back deck. They are 3 1/4" in diameter, with rubber boots and a flange.
Does the rubber boot go out or in?
Do I sandwich the deck between the flange and the boot?
Thanks
Jim

I mounted mine with the boot out Jim, I think that's the common set-up. The trim rind goes over the outside ring of the boot, to help hold it flat.

Mark,

Thanks, I would not have done it that way.

Question...where can one pick those up? I am restoring a 57 Custom Craft and it is missing one side. They are not like that but just a rubber gasket that fits over the fiberlass and the holes in mine are much bigger diameter.

Thanks,
Tim

You're welcome Jim, glad to help.
They're available in several sizes, Tim. I believe Brian and Frank got theirs at Jamestown Distributors, just click their sponsor link in the upper right-hand corner when it rolls around. I bought mine from iBoats.com, (believe they call 'em cable boots) before JD became a sponsor here. ;)

Yes, I got mine from Jamestown.
They are just over the border, so 1 day shipping for me.
