I just bought this boat and the title said made by BRUNSWICK 1964
size is 13.8


I need the maker of the boat not who owned the Company

Can some one help Me

Owens, Cutter and Larson were owned by Brusnwick in the 1960-1963 time period. Your boat looks like and Ownes or Cutter. "Brunswick Boats" may have been the name applied to some of 'em.

It was a financial disaster for Brunswick. They paid something like $3 million for Larson Boat Works in 1960 and they sold it back to Paul Larson and some other investors in 1963 for about $300,000. The Brunswick bean counters came in soon after the purchase of Larson and destoyed the company.

I have been to all of the site's that Brunswick had owned and looking at the Gallary I could not find a boat that matched

I thought it was a Silverline boat.

Mfg. Tag on the boat is GONE..

Silverline was not associated or affilited with Brunswick. The company name was originally Morehead Plastics, Inc. which made SIlverline fiberglass boats. I think they started in 1959 or 1960. The company name was changed to Silverline, Inc. about 1968. About 1971 the company was purchased by Arctic Enterprises, the maker of Artic Cat snowmobiles.

Artic Enterprises was eventually gobbled up by Irwin Jacobs in the 1970s. The Silverline boat operation was closed at Morehead in 1980. The line continued to be built for a few years at another Irwin Jacobs' owned boat plant, Larson in Little Falls, MN.

Crestliner became part of Brunswick about 6 years ago. Prior to that they were part of Genmar (Irwin Jacobs).

Silverline was never part of Brunswick.

Thank You for your help after a lot of hours on line I found out what the boat is

1964 14' Brunswick Lawson/Cutter Ensign scamp

the sticker on the dash is just about gone but in the right light you can read SCAMP

I found a ensign picture and the sticker is the same as mine.

the ensign is 15' and said ensign

the scamp is 14' and reads scamp
when I am done I will post new Pictures
