Again let me emphasize putting new disc on orbital after removing used one...

DON'T wear flip flops while working in crowded garage where tools are all over the floor, especially drills with sharp drill bits are protruding into walk space...

When spraying outside it's probably best to watch out for mosquito hawks.

Finally it is also best not to spray and smoke at the same time and upwind of piece. Having to scrape ashes out of 2nd wet coat is not conducive to a nice finish..

Stay tuned, I'm sure we will have more tips to come....

Niiiice. Hmmm mosquito hawk hugh? First I've heard them called that. That must be a little on, last I knew those things were as big as B-52's down that way. :woohoo:

Of all the things I lost, I miss my mind the most!! Sanded the entire center section of hard top before realizing I again had NO disc on sander!!!! Then I mixed up some Imron to spray the mid section and after spraying some I couldn't remember if I stirred up the paint after adding hardner or not!!!! I'm on some new meds and has me light headed and obviously brain dead.

I go barefoot. Flip Flops just give you a false sense of security!

Can't wait to see more, cool color.

Another great tip. When mixing paint to spray, let me suggest when pouring paint into pot, said pot is connected to gun!!!!! This will greatly diminish amount of paint on floor of garage. Just saying.

OK, Here's another tip from my resto expertise. I was out spraying the hardtop to get the lines straight. Seeing how I had the white sides taped off I decided to go ahead and throw another coat on center section. I had lightly hit it with sanding block prior to spraying. An hour or so later I remembered that I had compounded it a week or so earlier. It looks a little dull but will have to see in the light before sanding a layer off to re-do.
