I saw this posted on one of our local Yahoo freecycle groups and was lucky enough to be the first responder. It is a '62 Evinrude 40 horse, short shaft, with electric shift. It's been garaged since new and is is awesome shape. The guy has the original controls and wiring box but has to go back to the homeplace to remove them from the boat (still in the garage), so I won't get them for a few more weeks. Anyway, the price was right... free! Here's some pics.

Yep... I've got about a dozen to choose from, but I am saving this one for my '58 Razorback Ski Jet. I was hoping to find an electric shift motor to run on this one so my wife wouldn't have to fool with dual controls, so I was really happy to get my hands on this one. I hope to have the Ski Jet finished by next spring but we all know how that goes. lol... Until then the motor will stand in the corner of my office. :)

Doug,
Excellent find, that's one gret looking motor. It'll look great on the Ski Jet.
