TOPIC: Thunderbird I.D. :cringe:

Thunderbird I.D. :cringe: 14 years 2 weeks ago #29159

I have searched the interwebs far and wide, but can't seem to find a good solid answer....
I have a Thunderbird cathedral hull 18.5' with a Mercury 115hp outboard.
I have been told it is either a Comanche or a Cheyenne.
Does anyone know what features will tell me which model I have?
unfortunately the HIN plate is long gone.
I would sure appreciate any help.

Have you tried the Glassic Library on the home page? Thunderbird is listed there under Fiberglass,No pics and not a lot of info to go on makes it hard to ID

I did try the library, Mr88, and the Cheyenne is close, but mine has a longer cuddy and is outboard instead of inboard.
I'll attempt to get some good pics this weekend and see if that will help.

I believe the Cheyenne came in both inboard and outboard versions

A lot of the brochures from back in the day were more for marketing. So the pictures and dimensions were not always accurate as they are today. So you may have a Cheyenne.
