I am rebuilding a 77 Glastron Carlson CVX-16. It has a brass disk, approximately two inches in diameter through bolted to the lower transom, below the water line. The disk is on the outside of the transom. The gas line is grounded to it on the inside. It does have a metal inboard tank. Is this neccesary? If not, I would like to remove it and patch the hole.

Thank you,

Randy
