Got this via e-mail and thought you guys & gals might enjoy a look inside, sorta.

Boat garage in Charlevoix, MI
John Winn founded Four Winns Boat Company. His home on Round Lake in Charlevoix, MI. which connects to Lake Michigan, has a boat garage that's bigger and more expensive than the house itself. 30 boats are inside. Each can be repositioned with hoists operated with a single wireless remote control.

That certainly was interesting. Some pretty cool wooden classics in there. Being in Michigan I wonder how they keep the ice from forming? Probably have heaters under the docks.

All I got with that link is HGTV commercials. As far as the water freezing up I would think they use large water circulators.I have seen them used in NY in the winter.Just keep the H2O moving and it will stay loose.

Yep, seem to have to put up with commercials everywhere, even the movie theater. The video is there. Pretty cool, really.

I find it interesting that a man that apparently made his money off of fiberglass boats does not have any glassics in his boat mansion.Oh wait, he has the mini ride for the kids.I think if I had his jack I would have the big three,wood glass,and aluminum on display. Maybe try to do a chronological type display.It is one hell of a setup.

I did not realize that I had to sit through the "previews" aka commercials before I got to the feature film,which I did,hence the comment on ALL wood boats Winns made. Thanks for the info anyway.

You do not have to sit through any commercials if you install Adblockplus. Just sayin'.

That is the most amazing place. I loved the dinghy on top of the cruiser. I think I saw a 21/2 Johnson like mine. It's now shared on my Facebook. Thanks!!!
