TOPIC: Ugly, cool, & FAST

Ugly, cool, & FAST. Many other words could be used to describe the '59 American Marc Stardust, but why bother. Those three words pretty much sum it up. I gave away this boat a few years ago & just recently was able to get her back. I'm in process of tearing out the rotted core. When that's done, I'll pull the deck off & replace the transom. This boat will be a knockout when it's all restored. Just wanted to share some pix of a seldom - seen boat.

Oh I don't know. I would remove the word ugly. I think it looks rather attractive. The eye of the beholder.

Not ugly to me either. Fins and curves are OK with me!I like it without a windshield as well.

Love it where there is a happy ending , I mean chapter to the story . Cant be many of these models that survived.. "S" above had a good name, I vote for "CURVES".

Bob, as for speed - American Marc claimed 50MPH with a Merc 800. I have my doubts, but with a new bottom and transom - it just might do it. I'm gussing that 50MPH would take around 125HP......

That's a nice looking boat! I'm sure you'll have alot of fun with her! I have an American Marc too but mine's the Granada.
