I picked this up from e-bay for 200. 75hp electric running with recent tune up. Will put this one on the Invader. Anybody have any experience with this motor?

I was watching that motor. Too bad it was too far away - looked like a good deal!

You may get more response in the JEGO forum. Lose the fins. Like the V4s, which are thirsty critters. Also like the fact that it is a mechanical shift.Looks clean, and ready for some work!

You may have a time constraint seeing that it's a Ebay item. I recently dealt with uShip.com and it was very reasonable, just a thought.

a zillion of these were made. I had a 1961 Johnson 75HP on a 1961 Thompson lapstrake boat. Reliable motor with lotsa torque. Sucked fuel like crazy.

www.aomci.org has a good discussion forum for old outboard motors.

As Andreas said. Good reliable motor. Since zillions made. Parts will be available if needed. B)

Thx all, the fins will be the first thing to go. Plan on painting it to match the boat.
