TOPIC: Trim

Trim 13 years 6 months ago #27352

Yep i am a newbie here, and I am working on my first boat.
Where might i find a trim unit to attach/connect to a 40hp Johnson.
Do they even make such a thing.

My motor doesn't have an electric trim and there is a small state lake that i like to go to that is electric only, an i have to prop it up with the engine prop bar.

Welcome to the site krrthree. What yr. is your motor and what kind of boat is it on? There are not many trim units for motors that small, but I am sure someone on the site will be able steer you in the right direction. It would be really helpful if you could post some pics of the unit also. Skip.

Depending on the year, you may be able to get an OEM trim unit (on 1980s & up models). Otherwise, you'd have to get an aftermarket bracket/trim unit to accomodate older motors. CMC is the most well known brand and they make some good units...
