hi eric,i have done some more work to you wheel,it doesnt look good yet,but it should when im done.
i jb welded it ,and then some epoxy after i sanded the jb,then i left it out in the below freezing garage,and now its in the heated basement,i want to see if it cracks,so far so good,next some filling with resin jelly it wont take much,and then sand some more and then primer and paint.

thank you jamil,its a nice compliment,that i appreciate.
frog like i said any thing you need for your boat ill do ,no charge.but how bad are your wheels?
because in the pics this on is very bad,but does not look so bad,its heavily cracked,yours cant be much worse.i dont think.but send anyone you want,john

yes i sanded it again today ,it takes time to do it right,like i said ill have it out to you before the week is over,lol ,"patience grasshopper"lol,you will understand that statement someday,its for old guys like me,lol.
i would have had it done sooner but the back hoe broke down,which i plow snow with,and it took a little longer then expected,and now im doing your wheel,and a mirror frame for my wife(honey do list,and valentines day).
with the wheel i have to do it in layers and lots of hand sanding,john

Especially not when you do it right like John does!!

I can remember my first boat, too- I was 16 and I bought a 1965 Century Raven to restore. I never got it done- I went of to college before I had a chance- But, then again, I didn't have the support that you've got from this site!

thanks guys,and i too remember is age,i had a old vega,that i was able to save up for for 100 bucks,boy did it use the oil,lol,anyhow i wanted to paint it and didnt wait untill i had the money for automotive paint.
so i used rustolium,and about 2 gallons of thinner,lol,that was my 1st paint job,it came out ok,but dull non the less.
that was my 1st paintjob with a gun and compressor that i borrowed,i didnt make alot back then as a grocery bagger at gee bees,lol.
i do have to give this young fellow credit,he sent a thank you card with the wheel,and i have been taking a long time on it,plus other things.
im going to bust it out,i know the suspense is killing him,like it would me,lol,lol,john
