TOPIC: It's Cold: How about some Summer Boating Pictures?

It's Cold: How about some Summer Boating Pictures? 13 years 8 months ago #24376

This is my pram that I built a few years ago. It's made from 3 sheets of 1/4" plywood. I used the same set of plans that my Dad used many years ago when he built one for my brother and I. It won't win any speed contests but is very seaworthy and a great boat for kids as it's nearly impossible to capsize (I've tried.)

Seen here on the Yellowstone River.

It was like 102 degrees out, miserable hot, but I would trade that day for any day in the winter!

Boats are a new animal to me so I haven't gotten into any of the meets or clubs. I picked up a 1968 Fabuglas Seagull not long ago, the shop got the Evinrude Starflite going and I plan to put it to use this summer. Below is my Dad's Fiber Form on Swan Lake, MT. Poor thing hasn't seen water for two years now.

It ain't a boat picture, but this is what I do behind the boat.
It is easier on 50 year old bones than waterskiing.
It's called an Airchair. And oh boy, they named it right! :)

Air Chair. I've known about them but was too chicken to try one.
I use to go on one ski that was about it. plus a little tubing.
Now I just enjoy riding around on my pontoon powered be a 62 Homelite. I do have a 62 Lone Star Fleetwood powered by a 62 Merc 700 FGS and a 60 Larson All-American powered by an Evinrude Fat Fifty. B)
