TOPIC: Help on an I.D.

Help on an I.D. 13 years 8 months ago #24301

Can anyone venture a guess on the make/model? I like the lines and will likely go take a closer look but I'd like to have some background if at all possible.

Thanks!

Dave

Looks like an early 70's Chrysler Conqueror to me. If it is, grab it! That's a hell of a price. They even run a '68, 69 Dodge Charger flip top gas cap on them. I'd trade my kid for one of these boats. Here's a link to the chrysler info site.

Some people are like slinkies... Not much good for anything, but they sure are fun to push down the stairs.

Great and thanks! I will try to get some additional info & pics on her this weekend. Just don't show my wife that pic of the boat airborne, I'll never be able to get her in it once it's done!

This was offered on Craigslist as a 1976 Chrysler 17'. Looks close.
This boat is gone. Sold.

Here's another one reasonably close by. It looks like there is what used to be a trailer.

Nice boat but in my eyes has zero classic bling going for it,plain Jane.If you are looking to use for fishing, skiing, bumping around no problem,go for it.Check out transom for rot.The first one you listed is the way to go,put the difference in price into the her.

That Chrysler is pretty sharp- I've never been much of a fan of most of the 1970s designs, but that one has some cool looks to it. And, the price is right, too... Buy that one and the Renken, and take the trailer/motor from the renken- You'll be set!

I was thinking the same thing...buying the Renken and using the motor/trailer for the Chrysler if that hull is decent. My big problem is that I'm knee deep in the Bowman and don't have any time/space for another "future" project (not to mention I would kind of like to stay married!).
