I've got this wheel- I think it's an attwood-

I want to make a new insert for the cutout in the top of the wheel, and the center of the wheel... I meant to bring the measurements with me when I left last week, but I forgot them!

I know this is a pretty common wheel- Can I talk someone in to measuring it for me so I can get the graphics work done?? I need some dimensions to do it right- Or even better, a photo taken head- on (as squarely as possible!) with a ruler or something else dimensional in the photo for scale.

I won't be home for a month or so- this would help me a LOT!

andrew im sorry i cant help with dimensions,but i think thats a vollrath wheel because they used to put their name "vollrath" in the top of the wheel in that insert area.
i have a vollrath wheel on the cutter but its not the same wheel,totaly different.if it is a vollrath it might say so on the back .

Perfect!!

This is what I am doing with them.... Using the photos that you took, I imported them into Adobe Illustrator, then made templates of the inserts that were sized properly...

Then, I can 'insert' any of my logos, graphics, etc into them.

This is screen resolution, so it doesn't look that great- But the original files print up nice & crisp... I'll embed them in a doming resin, and they should fit in the wheels...

You beat me to the measurements. I have a wheel just like it buried upstairs in my garage from my old boat. The new inserts will look great. My wheel was purchased in 1959/60 to go on a molded plywood 16ft runabout that my dad built. The boat was a beauty and we had a lot of great times on the Mississippi.
