Title is Tesoro: Red Sky in Morning". It's about a hair-raising trip I made from Ft Lauderdale to Eufaula Alabama and back to Ft. Lauderdale in a 27' Cheoy Lee sloop back in the early eighties, replete with Gulf storms, and river flooding! You'll love it. It should be available for download at Amazon in a couple of days.

sure did..and i'll read it again. if anyone else wants to read a breathtaking adventure..read this story. its amazing what Gary endured on this voyage, but i would expect nuthin else from a man who use to swim to school as a kid. love ya Gary, Ron

Thanks, Ron! But I swam to work, not school. Only did it a couple of times. Seemed sensible, since it was two miles by water and eight or ten miles by bicycle. Bicycling was quicker and easier as it turned out! Ah, to be young and foolish again!

And, I think I'd do 10 miles on a bike ANYDAY before swimming 2- Especially this time of year  John- You can download a free Kindle app that'll let you read kindle books on your PC, you can find it at Amazon.com |

That looks like an old BSA A-7 twin.500cc Had 1 back in the early 70's when I was stationed in San Diego

It's a Kawasaki W650. Kaw bought the comapny that bopught BSA and sold the Lightning as a W1. The W650 was developed from the W1 and is what a BSA ought to be today!

Kindle has added free app downloads that allow you to read Kindle books on your home computer or laptop. ALSO, before receiving my copyright, I renamed the book, "Tesoro". Now you can order the book on Amazon Kindle without being confused by the OTHER books names Red Sky in Morning!

When my son retired from the army in a little more than a year, we'ree going to retrace the Tesoro trip, but in the Seafair! AND WITH NAVIGATION EQUIPMENT AND VHF!!!
