TOPIC: Help identify this hull.

Help identify this hull. 13 years 9 months ago #22471

As I mentioned in my first post; I just purchased this project because of the engine but I think I want to restore it. The hull looks very good to me but I am not sure what to look for and as soon as I got it home; I heard the story of how old fiberglass hulls like to sink. Not sure if this is true but I would like to know what to look for.

Here are some pics to help identify it.

Good looking boat. Is that a nailhead Buick I see?

It is all fiberglass and yes, It is nailhead Buick powered! That is why I wanted it!

Try posting this on Performance Boats www.performanceboats.com/forum.php

Get some pics that show the whole boat from both sides, front and back and from above if possible.

I will post some pics of the whole boat tomorrow. Maybe someone can post over at the other site for me. I do not want to register for another site at this time.

I don't think that's the same boat. Mine is much smoother and better flowing. That example is very angular.

Looks a lot like an early Biesemeyer. Here is a pic of a '59 model I found on the web.

That is the closest I have seen. I have added some more pics. I sure would like to be able to conclusively identify it. I have poured over it looking for any kind of identification and there is none. Is this normal?
