TOPIC: Adding Flying Scott Pictures to my first post.

Adding Flying Scott Pictures to my first post. 13 years 9 months ago #22456

I hopefully will now add pictures of my Flying Scott. Not sure if I should start new thread, try to post to my first thread of 2 days ago "new member new boat Flying Scott" or if I should be posting these in a different forum. Open for any advice. I plan to post 10 pictures, this will probable take me until next year to complete!!

Old thread, new thread, it's your call. You're in the right forum, no worries. Kudos to you for getting the picture posting down right off the bat, good job. That is one cool original Glassic!. I love the special "features" you just don't see much if at all on other makes and models. Looks like you found a keeper for sure, IMO.

Mark S. Thanks, I went back to my original post to find out who sent me the instructions on how to help me download photos so I could give them credit for my quick success. Guess what??? That was you, so pat yourself on the back. 5satins

To my surprise I turned it and all the snow melted in my driveway. I have
no idea, I just picked up the boat took some photos, then fought with the wind to get it covered for the winter. I had no time to check things out. I assume some members that have Flying Scott expertise could answer this. Hap New Year

This one was from original owner and all we freshened the vinyl deck but it was perfect, original seats and all, so it was easy, correct engine and a McCoughla trailer, good luck Bill

Interesting boat you've got there 5satins.
The designer put some serious work into the features and details. I expect it will be a delight to own and use.
Thanks for the pics.

Boy you guys are sharp. I checked the registration that came with the boat and it is listed as a 1960, not a 1958 as I was told. The boat was bought from the original owner's son and he said the boat was in his family since new, so I assume 1960 is correct.
Happy new year's day, I hope your hangovers don't feel like you head is pounding against a 5' chop.
5satins.

P.S. Quite a boat you have Bill, but you missed out on the challenge I now face. I will make a sacrifice so you could enjoy this project, if you would like to trade-lol

5s, the boat looks great! Lots of potential there. If you decide to repower with original, here's a nice clean 1960 40 thats in our garage. Also have a '60 Flying Scott 75 with a factory red hood that would look nice on your transom. Good luck with the project.

Your boat and that 75 Scott from bobelgin15

It will make for a great investment not to mention the fun associated with it.
