I've narrowed it down to an Anthony, Hydrocraft Fantasy, or Glassmagic Banshee. Which one is easier to restore? Any other old advanced hulls like those that might be a good choice? H.P rating isn't really an issue but I'd like to put my old 90 Johnrude on it. I've got some great props for it.

The one that you can find. There were many hydro boats around that time, but if I were to pick one, I would try to find a hydro scott. Sometimes they were called scott hydros. Here is a good link:

Matt in Illinois

I ain't here for a long time, I'm here for a good time !

Re: Looking for a Fast Vintage Classic 13 years 9 months ago #22154

It's located in central Mo. Could easily end up in Illinois! yahoo maps shows you to be 300 miles from me, some shuttling/delivery might be arranged.

It was made by Reid Marine, Ft.Walton Beach Fl in 73. They went out of business not long after.

150 hp sounds a bit high to me, but what the heck, I put a speedi four (33 hp antique) on an 8' fliver, so why not?

It's 17', needs paint and clean up. Not sure about the floor. Didn't seem rotted, but I didn't check it real close.

I basically bought it to save it from the landfill.

Some people are like slinkies... Not much good for anything, but they sure are fun to push down the stairs.

Thanks for the info on the Hydro Scott. I've always liked them, but thought they were so rare that I'd never find one. If I found one that was close enough and reasonable, I'd snatch it up in a minute. I like the boat by Reid Marine. It looks like a mix of Checkmate, Baha, and early Chrysler Conqueror. I'm just looking for something older and with a short transom

Interested in the Reid Marine.

I know I'm new here, I am primarily a Glastron/ Carlson fan, but love the look of this boat, and would like to help prevent it from being slaughtered. please send me an email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
