TOPIC: impala craft question

Had a few questions on the Avenger in regard to the max horsepower rating and also the transom height (15 or 20 inches)?

I have seen a few posts about this boat here. Anybody ever take one out for WOT spin. Just curious about the speed and how the boat handles.

i just bought one in very good condition last week in greenville sc i will be painting it and im also curious what size engine i figure a 15 t0 35 will do any more info let me know thanks

I have a nice one i got last April but like others I have seen had no tags or hp info. Does yours have any maker name or id tag? I have a 1961 40hp Merc on mine and I have not had it in the water yet but I will this summer. I would dare to push a 50hp. I know of 5 of these boats but I seem to be the only one that has the original seats and headlights so if you need to copy anything let me know. Please post a pic of yours if possible. I would like to know about the transom height as well. Mine is rotted and will be woked on this winter.

Wow Thank you I am having a hard time navigating this forum. I can not find a maker but I am going to attach a picture of the numbers on the engine.

just strap it on if it sinks it was 2 much..

I think they were set up for a 35 merc max.I'm going to install a forward mounted engine and a drive shaft for a rear jet drive,convertible top and a working hood.
