TOPIC: New boat in the yard.... More Pics Added

My son and I made a 500 mile round trip today to pick up our latest boat. A 1958 Razorback Ski Jet that board member "alloriginal" had posted on her a few days ago. I've been looking for a '58 model for about 11 years now, but could only find '59's or newer.

The '58 Ski Jet was the first model produced by Razorback. They used a brand new '57 Cutter Jet Deville to splash a mold and built their first boat from that. They made one minor change to the deck, but other than that it was an exact copy. I am thrilled to finally have one cornered and in my yard after all these years. More pics later.

Thanks guys.. Here's my '60 Ski Jet. In '59 the raised the deck height, modified the hull design a bit, changed the splashwell and put in a sub floor.

Nope, not many at all. Wish the data plate hadn't been removed already. I'd love to see how they numbered the first ones. I know the vin numbers on the later models after the company was purchased by Arkla Gas made no sense what so ever.
