You got yourself a 1959 Big Twin golden Jubilee edition. There should be a nice Blue/gold crest on the back of the hood. Yours appears to be a manual start tiller model which is not too common most had electric start and no tiller. The 59 was the first year for the fiberglass cowl and the last year for the pressure tank system.

These motors are not that " huge "
only the cover is huge so to speak.
It is likely lighter than a " newer looking motor " and it is much easier for the average person to learn how to fix and maintain one of these fine motors.

I have four 1959 Larks. They're great motors. Mine have fuel pumps, not pressure tanks though.

The 35s did not have a pressure tank for 1959. Evinrude phased them out over two years. 1958 had the standard 35 using a pressure tank, while the Lark used a fuel pump. All smaller models came with the fuel pump in 1958. In 1959 all 35hp models had a fuel pump, while smaller models still had a pressure system. By 1960 all models had a fuel pump (with the exception of the gravity-fed 3).
