TOPIC: Trailer Yachts

Trailer Yachts 13 years 10 months ago #20503

Hi, this is my first post here. While it seems most users of this forum are interested in power boats, there are many older fibreglass trailer yachts built in the 70's and 80's (especially in Australia and New Zealand) that owners are interested in keeping alive. Similar to power boats, many of the best designs are fading into the history books and no longer in production. Many of the posts and articles on this site are an absolute treasure of information and great advice, very glad I found it!

\"too soon old,too late smart\" my pap

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.“

Welcome aboard Robert, glad to have you join us. (You don't have to be "motorized" to hang out here! LOL) We have several members from "Down Under"; 59Banshee, bellgirl, yochemin, Aussie Jim, and several others. (Sorry if I left anyone out!) Please feel free to share some pics of your watercraft, we love pics here.

Thanks for the welcome, when you have a good boat it seems that restoration is an easy disease to catch! Mine is only 24 years old so far too young to mix it here really but will post some photos when I get a minute. I figure the best time to restore a boat is before it gets too run down. You can also expect a few other Aussie trailer yachties on board here once the word gets around, fantastic site!
