I'm kinda handy metal fab, I think I'm going to take the pictures and see what happens.

Whomever wins them please post a copy of the instruction.

I would be interested in buying a set if the cost was reasonable.

there are 2 guys in a war over them they started at $47 and have bid it up to $174

if its one of the members here thats expressed a real interest in purchasing them, do your self a favor and dont place anymore bids till the final 60 seconds of the auction your just driving up the price on yourself

Hey all, I happen to own a set. Although I don't have the original box, I plan on using them on my hydrocycle.

They seem simple enough to make however and I know a local aluminum foundry that's helped me in the past with reproduction castings.

If there's interest, I could see what it would take to get them re-created.

There's only 4 parts to them. Two pieces of stainless steel (spot welded together), the mount which is aluminum, and a screw for adjustment.

Seen here, a special brace I created custom for my boat, I made the wood plug and had them cast up 2 of them. They were 150 each... but that was quite a bit of aluminum and they're pretty large.

The mounts for these rooster tail thingies are very small so I don't think it'd cost all that much to recreate these.

NOTE: Those that use these things need to be super careful, they're very sharp and will slice right through ya.

I'd like the measurements on just the stainless chute. I think I have it pretty much determined, but it would be better to have the original size. I can fab up the s/s chutes myself. As for the mounts I should be able to build a set of those that would work. I'd kinda like to put a set on my '58 Lonestar.

No doubt, that's more than I paid for my Lone Star and Johnson 40hp. They are cool and I will be trying to fab a set up sometime over the winter.

for that kind of money I can buy a Stainless cleaver prop for my tower of power and throw real hp rooster tails & go faster.....

I was one of the bidders but bailed out about $150. I already have 2 identical pair, mounted on my Switzer Lightning and Switzer Shooting Star....they work well and really do put up quite a rooster tail! I think I paid about $150 per pair on ebay....oddly enough, both pair were NOS and came with origional box(es)....I guess maybe they were not such hot sellers back in the day.
