I've always loved vintage advertising... Especially old boat & trailer ads. They had some very neat logos, and 'catchy' ads to try to set them apart from the competition.

I am an artist- Though most of my work is realistic drawing, I've also done some graphic design & illustration work as well. I have been re-drawing some of the old logos & ads from various sources, for various projects I've got coming up (Emblems, pennants, etc).

I need high resolution files for most of my work, and you just can't get that from a scanned ad or brochure. So, I've been re-drawing some of the old logos. I guess I'm a bit 'old school', I like to do the drawings by hand, then scan & digitize them, rather than create the whole thing on a computer. Here are a few that I've finished-

Volksboat.

Redfish.

Custom Craft.

Sterling Trailers.

Beaver Trailers.

Some I have a direct use for, others (Like the Beaver Trailers one) were just neat old designs that I really liked...

Just for fun, I put some on T-Shirts, on my Zazzle page-

www.zazzle.com/andgott

I needed a custom craft t-shirt... That's the easiest way for me to get one!

These are pretty high resolution files- The ones posted here are just examples at screen resolution. The high- res files let me print them almost any size, on different materials. I should also be able to convert them all into embroidery files for the wife's embroidery machine, too!

I'm working on more of them- if anyone has any special requests that I can help out with, let me know!

You don't happen to have Lone Star in .eps or other vector based format?

Nice. Although I'm not sure I'd wear a t-shirt that says TeeNee. 8-)

Andrew...(et al.)
If you ever want any of those logos cut in sign-vinyl... my older brother has a machine. He can cut up to 23.8" (24" is too close to the edges). He can go bigger- you just have to line them up when installed.
He also has a large-format full-color printer, and can print all the way up to 44" x 100 yards!!

If anyone is restoring a late 50's vintage Gator Trailer, I have a high-quality exact vector image for the red and white gator logo which was reproduced for me by an aquaintence... e-mail me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if you are interested in sharing the logo... don't want to put it on the web, the guy did super nice work on it, and don't want to see the logo reproduced for proffit...

don't have a better picture of the trailer online here right now... but here's a decent shot of it.
