TOPIC: Sears 15' Fiberglass Boat Serial IT65R 0757

I just bought this beautiful little Sears fiberglass boat! It is a 15' boat with a 40 horse Evinrude. I just ran it on the lake today at a GPS clocked speed of 31 MPH! It is a model 811.610500 with serial IT65R 0757. I would love to find out more about the boat including who made it and what year it was built. Thanks!

Elgin was the brand name for the Sears boats and motors and trailers. Sears did not make any of these items. They bought them from manufacturers and had them badged as Elgin (or later as Sears).

I have no idea who made boats for Sears.

Arkansas Traveler made some of the early 60's Elgin/Sears boats. My friend Mike got one from ElginBob. Pretty cool little boat.

When I was 12 I had a Sears Deluxe Gamefisher 12 with a 1970 3 HP Evinrude. Then I migrated to a 63/4-ish Ted Williams (McCulloch) 7 1/2 HP Low Boy. I thought I was the fasted thing on the water with that motor.

I just got the sears badged 150 last night the pink slip says its a 1964 traveler..cant find any info but only a blue boat pic on yahoo images ..mine is blue and exactly the same..seems like these boats werent ever talked about lol no info anywhere!..post pics of yours if u can i dont know how to get pics up here
