TOPIC: Swiss 6 Boats - Tell City, IN

In digging thru some stuff, I came across the mysterious SWISS BOAT of Tell City, Indiana.

I have some membership rosters of the Boat Manufacturers Association - an arm of the Boating Industry Associations (BIA). BIA was the old Outboard Boating Club of Amercia (OBC). Today it is the National Marine Manufacturers Association(NMMA).

In the roster from 01 May 1968 there is NO Swiss Boat listng. In the 28 April 1969 roster the enter is: Swiss Boat Builders, Inc., Winkleried Street, Tell City, Indiana with Arthur J. Clemens as president.

The roster dated 20 September 1971 has the same entry with the street number as 1110 Winkelreid Street. Same entry in the 20 April 1972 roster and 13 September 1972 roster.

In the roster dated 23 November 1973 the firm moved: Swiss Boat Bulders, 2201 S. Valentia, Denver, Colorado 80231, Arthur J. Clemens, President with telephone 812-547-5641.

I do not have any rosters after 1973.
