TOPIC: Would make a good project for someone

Saw this in Grand Island, NY this weekend. Needs a transom and interior, but looked very doable. Someone should snag it. It's a Lone Star and looks like a 1959 +/- Catalina. It was with a bunch of other stuff for sale, so it could be available

tudor your right that would be a nice boat for project x 2011,but it depends on the price,and if its ok with the people that donated money,i want them to vote on the boat they want,but i think i could make that a darn good looking boat.

It probably needs a transom but otherwise seems solid. It's parked with a couple of other boats, a van and a boat trailer; some of which have for sale signs on them. For those in the area, it is at the corner of Grand Island Boulevard and Staley Rd, next to Tim Hortons. I also think it is near the Merc that someone said they would donate. Maybe cc1000 or someone else local could investigate.

I know its not but if you look at that tie down strap It looks like it was pulled down a little to tight.

thanks tudor and steve,we just got a boat for projectX,2011,its cc manta ray premier,it looks pretty good,its being donated ,by brian (crosby boat)and doug young (classic fins),we still need to get the motor though,and a trailer for the manta ray,thanks guys john

john, mark says the merc 500 that was once his and now belongs to chris in canada is a long shaft. we just need someone to pick it up. i don't know how far up in canada he is. if he's close to buffalo maybe dave can get it and bring it to tim. ron

I talked to the guy with the lone star and he said he was open to offers.The trailers in good shape and would probably go a good distance.He said it was OK to post his # 716-773-7541 if anyone's interested.
