TOPIC: New member seeking any info on '78 24' Winner

Hello all. I recently purchased a 1978 Winner 24' Family Hard Top Cruiser. I would be interested in any information, pictures, brochures or rememberances anyone my have on these boats. Thank you for your time.

Winner Boat assets were purchased from Commerce Union Bank by Winner Boats of Nevada, Inc. - a wholly owned subsidiary of Thompson Boat, Inc. of Peshtigo, WI in November/December 1977. For a short period of time Thompson operated the Winner facility at Dickson, TN. In May-June 1978 Thompson moved what they wanted from Winner to Wisconsin. What they didn't want they sold at auction in Dickson on 22 June 1978.

By late 1979 Thompson intigrated a few of the former Winner models into their own line and dropped any reference to Winner.

Thank you for the info. I work with a lady that lives in Dickson and remembers the factory being there. I would love to find a brochure, drawing or picture showing the layout of the interior. I'm not really looking to put the boat back to original, but would like to see what it's supposed to look like. Thanks again for your time and the information.

I have a 1979 brochure for Winner by Thompson. They show a 24 ft. hardotp called the 240 Sport Fisherman. Probably the same hull as your boat. There are NO interior pictures or layout skecthes, just a in-water profile shot of the boat.

I do not have anythng between 1973 and 1978.
