We had one in 1957, and I remember seeing an ad for them in a '57 Boating magazine, but have never seen one since. It was a pretty little boat with a Mark 55 on the transom. Unfortunately, the hull design was horrible, and after a storm smashed into tiny pieces on the rock bottom of our boathouse, we replaced it with a Whitehouse - ugly but very good handling and fast!

Maybe we had the only one.... I wouldn't surprised - the boat had the worst bottom design of any boat I ever drove, but it was gorgeous!

Did you save the Mark 55? I love my little red/white baby.

The little red and white Mark 55 was smashed on the rocks to the extent that there were no salvageable parts. As for the Sucajo Eldorado, the largest pieces were abot 16 square inches. That's what happens on the Tennessee River when you get a steady wind out of the East from Wheeler Dam 12 miles straight downstream to our house at the bend before it goes two more miles to Wilson Dam. After that day, my brother designed and built a boat lift! It served well for twenty years until a tornado lifted the boathouse up and dropped it in the slough!

No known pics of our boat or any other Sucajo Eledorado. I saw a small ad for one in 1957 in Motor Boating Magazine though. But that was over fifty years ago!
