TOPIC: Help with a Dorsett Catalina. . . . .

Help with a Dorsett Catalina. . . . . 14 years 1 month ago #13797

Hi --

I have the opportunity to buy an old ( really ?!) Dorsett Catalina --
This is the only one I have found with a 4 cylinder mercury I/O -

Is this post-1965??

It is in fairly good shape but not much room to walk around on deck . . . .

CUTE ! ! ! ! I am VERY tempted - Any help ??

Thanks -

Just the usual generic advice:
It costs as much to restore a boat you really want as a boat you're only mildly interested in.
The resale value will most likely not equal your expenditure.
Therefore: Only restore boats you're in love with...the rest will only break your heart....so to speak.
