TOPIC: Identification needed!

Identification needed! 1 year 7 months ago #147960

My wife and I are now the proud owners of this runabout!
I can't find a hull number or name on her, or an identification plate anywhere.
The boat is 14' long, and 4' 8" wide.
I would like to know who made it, what it's weight is, what it's capacity is, and just how big a motor we can put on her.
It needs a steering assembly, rewiring, and a motor, but the floor and transom are solid.

I don't know what it is, but it's quite attractive. It looks like it was made for a short shaft motor and someone raised the transom to use a long shaft.

Maybe that's what happened to the identification plate and make of the boat!
Well that transom sure is solid. Is it a bad idea raising it like that?

Before 1972 no Hull Identification number was required, so it may not have one. On 1972 and later boats the HIN was on the outside of the transom on the right side, so it may be covered up if it's that new.
