TOPIC: Noob Boat Identification

Noob Boat Identification 1 year 7 months ago #147910

Hello! I have a boat identification question and this seems to be the place to go for a wealth of knowledge, so let me thank you in advance.

I found this little boat nearby and it seems to be sitting out in the weather. I’m wondering what it is, and ultimately I’ll do some research about what it would take to restore it.

Would you be so kind as to help me ID this golden beaut?

this looks like it. Quick google image search. 1957 glastron. It looks like if it had the back seat and a windshield originally, it was the fire flite, if no wind shield or rear seating, it was the surf flite.

Lenny, that’s what I was thinking. But it could also be a RedFish Shark, couldn’t it?

Well im new to the hole boat scene myself. But you are correct looks similar if not identical. Without finding some numbers on the boat i assume you would be in the same boat as i am trying to figure out the project i am now tuning to try for a 50mph run. Look up my project if intrested. It should be below your post. Best we can figure is mine is a clone of a late 60s early 70s glastron 14 foot.

Looks like the Glastron, but I believe there were splashes of the Glastron out there.

Not trying to hijack the link,...BUT You may want to edit your "flickr" post jolivergraham,...Although I did enjoy all the pictures of Reno, Cannon Beach, Pikes Place Market, etc.
Cannon Beach is one of my favorite vacation spots on the coast. Are the rabbits at the "Horse Ranch RV Park"?
