can you use the eyes on top of a 64 plywood to lift it off trailer

If that eye is directly connected straight down and securely fastened into the keel, it is "probably" okay to lift with it.
Most likely if there is an eye designed to lift with through the fore deck, there will be another one secured to the keel through the aft deck.

Ditto the good Dr.
The Century in my picture had both a fore and aft lifting eye. Those eyes were actually a long brass rods that were fastened to the keel so when the boat was lifted even with a heavy V8 and transmission installed all the lifted weight was on the keel. Somewhere on the web there are pictures of the Century factory in the 50's/60's showing a boat being put on a storage cradle using the eyes as lift points.
