TOPIC: where do i find more of this?

This is the.... edge molding / edge bumper / gunnel strip off of a volksboat jetra i have. I have found different types but none that actually look like this. this type has a section that peels away to reveal bolts that actually hold it on. you can see the one side can be opened and closed.

have you checked wefcorubber.com ? If they don't have it, I hear if you send them a short section, they will make a die to make some for you. I don't know the cost, but it's worth a try.

Yes, Welfco rubber made a volksboat rubrail, without the slit, I don't know the mold number. They made some pre 2008, for Volksmaster, Dave Panetti. I wonder if the slit is original, maybe it split over the last 60 years. The hulls were not bolted together.
