TOPIC: How would you fix these cracks?

The Gelcoat on my boat has a lot of tiny pits. They aren't huge cracks, so I don't think I need to grind them out and lay new glass, but I'm not sure what else to do. Is there a product i can fill those holes with and then sand? The whole boat is going to be repainted over the gel coat anyways, so I'm just looking for a smooth surface on which to lay the paint.

I restored a Bluejay sailboat that was full of those. They're air bubbles in the glass. I dug them all out with a ball shaped burr tip on a die grinder and filled them with West System epoxy with their 404 structural filler mixed in. Then primer and paint.

I would clean them up like Sailor said with the die grinder and then use Bondo Gold. Stuff is easy to work with, dries in 20 minutes or less and can be sanded without much effort with a flat board.
