I'm looking for an OMC shift cable for the throttle around 16/17 feet. It would be for my 40hp Gale. The motor ends are the same as Johnyrude of the 60's era. The shifter ends would be connected to an Evinrude simplex two handle. I have a new one but it's only 11ft. and it's too short when turning to starboard. Anyone willing for a trade? Have two new teleflex 11/12' cables.

Hi Jim, I shopped around online and this was the best price with free shipping. I now have a new 11ft cable that has never been used other than installed if someone is interested. On the cheap, just don't need it. Of course it won't have the motor end on it. I needed a 17 footer so I can route it up and under the gunwale and then around to the port side of the motor. The short cable just didn't cut it.
