Was able to pick up two shifters this morning for OMC, I needed on for the 40hp Gale but couldn't pass up this one. All Cables are free. Guy said he thought it was an old Johnson part. Has cable ends that are still usable for many of the older omc's.

Some aftermarket item. Definitely NOT made by OMC, although it does look like OMC connections on the cable ends. Could be Morse, as they had some controls similar to that in the 1960s. Any evidence of a decal in the round area on the case?

I'm thinking Morse also. Really made for omc though. Later morse controls had generic switchable cable ends. There is a part number. It is thick solid cast alum. I'll have to do some more research. The cables are heavy and thick with compression ends.
