I have put 850-4 cyl (85HP) Mercs, and 900-6 (90HP) Mercs on these for folks - both with power trim, and they have been very pleased with the results.
If you are an OMC guy,...The motor of choice might be a 75HP Stinger on a long shaft, or perhaps an 85+ HP V4.
IMHO,...The OMC options will use more fuel & weigh more than a comparable HP vintage 2 stroke Merc.
