TOPIC: Advice on restoring/reparing UV blotching gelcoat

Advice on restoring/reparing UV blotching gelcoat 7 years 5 months ago #131425

I have a 1971 Sea Ray srv180 that is factory yellow, hull, deck, etc. Looks great in pics but there is some clouding or blotching in areas. There is not oxidation (chalking) as the boat has always been waxed and polished but it bothers me to have this blotching, seems cloudy etc.
How is this buffed or detailed away? If possible?

Nice boat. Maybe try a quality marine polish, or wet sand areas with a fine paper like 1000 grit? There are lots of people on here that would know what to do better than me.

You should post a few more pictures showing the faded areas , its hard to recommend what to do to fix it without seeing it .
