The Florida Glasspar Club had another great showing last month on Lake Dora at Tavares which featured the Glasspar Super G.

Those were nice looking boats and a great show!

What motor is under that Super Sea Horse 50hp cowling?

It sure looks like a modern motor.

VinTin,

I asked the same question suggesting it to be a FrankenSuzuhatsu under wraps.

And I say that with all due respect to the Honorable Dr_ Frankenmerc.

This is Paul Corado's 65 Seafair Sedan debut following a complete restoration and she looking fine in her classic black tie attire.

Thanks for the great pics as usual Terry! That tuxedo sedan looks classy! Hope you and Mary had a good winter, Mama Mia too!

First, do no harm!
It's a lot easier to buy a boat than sell a boat.(Stole this from a member!)
All that work and hardware store mailbox letters for the hull? Tsk tsk..

Hi Terri,
Thanks for posting. It looks to be a Yamaha to me under the Johnson hood. That boat is georgeous and looks to be well done.
I have a red 64 SuperG with a 63 Merc 1000 so it mimics what is pictured on the 64 catalog cover.
These boats are near impossible to find anything for.
I have been acquiring the few missing bits and pieces over the years to make it complete the most difficult was the center console.
This most likely will be my last iground up resto and now that I have everything parts wise I'd really like to chat with the owner of the one pictured to see how they like it, ride and performance wise. I don't want to plow through this to be disappointed, this is a very flat wide bottom,
I have realistic expectations but, it is curious Glasspar stopped these after only two years of production.
Any help you could provide would be most appreciated. You can PM me if needed.
Thanks,
Randy

Good Morning Mary,

Yeah Paul did an outstanding job on his Sedan.

Mary and I are well and Mama Mia! is coming out of hibernation next week. She has a busy calendar coming up and we hope to see you folks out on the water soon.

Hello Randy,

You should register on the Florida Glasspar Club site:
Florida Glasspar Club

Vernon Turner restored the Super G and a few other Glasspar models as well. I posted previously on the Mariner he did which won Most Original Glasspar at Tavares in 2014.

Vernon goes by bocephus on the FGC forum.

Thanks,
Terry

Boy those are gorgeous boats. I'd love to find a Sedan style cruiser one day.

Wow, Terry, great pics, thank you for posting. That fat fifty hood on a modern engine is a great trick, I love it! I only know about Super G's from pictures, never seen one in person. Like "63g3" I wonder about the ride on that mostly flat bottom. That black sedan is super cool and definitely different. I like how he kept the boot stripe but in white now. thanks again

Love those Cabin Glasspars (ok...I just like most glasspars)... there were everywhere when I grew up in the 60's. The rounded windshields are way cool.
Thanks Terry. Hope to see Mama Mia in Wisconsin in May (hope you make it again this year).

I wish someone would post the pictures and process for how they got a vintage cowl to fit a motor. I think that Fat Fifty looks so cool.
